St. Veronica

St. Veronica is known as the woman who wiped the face of Jesus on His way to His crucifixion.

According to legend, Veronica was a bystander watching Jesus as He suffered during His walk to Calvary. Seeing His face covered in sweat and blood, she offered Him a cloth, most likely her veil, to wipe His face. He accepted her kind gesture and in turn left an impression of His face on the cloth, which still exists to this day. There is not much known about Veronica other than this one appearance in history.

Her feast day is July 12. She is the patron saint of photographers.
